Default Services Specialist

JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

Responsible for assisting with daily functions and special projects for default services, specifically; preparing and processing Notices of Intent (NOI); and preparing files for foreclosure referral to achieve pre-set goals, timelines, and objectives. Must be highly motivated and have the ability to multitask while following all federal and state mandates as they relate to default servicing. May grow to include oversight of a portfolio of active foreclosure loans with active involvement and management of attorneys associated with the loans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with clients and vendors to complete tasks accurately and within established timeframes.
  • Review and reconcile reports between loan servicing system and other applicable software to insure timeliness and manage exceptions.
  • Specific daily duties/responsibilities may include:
    • Notices of Intent (NOI):
    • Research loan level information to assist in preparing and sending NOI.
    • Review for eligibility, prepare and mail all NOI for assigned loans
    • Gather required documents and manage timelines and communication with local counsel for sending outsourced NOI
    • Work closely with in-house general counsel to implement on cmpliance with state and federal updates to NOI rules and regulations
  • Foreclosure Referrals:
    • Maintain calendar of expiring NOI
    • Review loans for possible foreclosure referral
    • Prepare foreclosure referral packages
    • Work with foreclosure specialists to refer loans to foreclosure
  • Record pertinent information in the loan servicing system and other applicable software to maintain accurate and current records.
  • Respond to attorneys, vendors, branches, and other Statebridge Company departments in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent preferred; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate with internal and external customers including vendors and attorneys in a professional manner. Strong problem solving ability, data collection, analysis and presentation experience. Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness. Experience using Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel.
