JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

This position serves as a representative of Statebridge Company, LLC, and will specialize in
negotiating loss mitigation workouts that result in the best strategy for both the borrower and the
investor. The Loss Mitigation Specialist provides first-class customer service to the borrower
and client, ensuring that they act in the best interest of all parties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Timely review loss mitigation package in accordance with CFPB rules to
    determine if the homeowner qualifies for a loss mitigation option.
  • Educate customers about all loan modification programs, forbearance plans,
    repayment plans, short sales, and deeds in lieu options as applicable.
  • Underwrite the borrower’s income, through the review of paystubs, tax
    documents, benefit statements, business profit and loss statements, etc.
  • Facilitate loss mitigation workout options such as modifications, short sales and
    deeds in lieu.
  • Decisions files based on delegation of authority when appropriate.
  • Reviews investor waterfalls and presents terms to investor/client/MI companies
    for approval, if required.
  • Monitor status of repayment plans, forbearance plans, and trial period plans.
  • Proactively make outbound and receive inbound calls on accounts to sustain
    pipeline, ensuring options are moving forward.
  • Ability to speak professionally and pass QA compliance telephone audits
  • Update clients on loss mitigation activities and strategies.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager’s discretion.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; or two to four years related experience
    and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates): None
  • Experience: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following
    • 3 or more years of loss mitigation experience required and/or loan origination
      underwriting experience
    • 2 or more years of telephone customer contact experience required
    • Intermediate math skills required
    • Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, CFPB, FCRA and FDCPA
      required
    • GSE experience preferred
    • NMLS Licensing preferred
    • Knowledge of Federal Bankruptcy Laws preferred
  • Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Word, Excel, Financial Calculators

    understanding sense of urgency. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
